Ajātaśatru, dear brother.

as a man who has studied the scriptures and the words of our spiritual master for decades I should always expect the worst to happen at any time. And yet, your early passing from this world left me devastated. Godbrothers I can truly relate to are very rare indeed. You were one of them. And no, we did not have exactly the same view on every subject.

I have no right to turn these lines into a political exploitation – and I won’t. However, it needs to be said that your faith at one point was severely damaged by unqualified and ignorant so-called leaders. You were a thoroughly genuine person who could see right through the facades – or bullshit, in plain English. Unfortunately, your thoughtful questioning was taken as a threat in many instances.

The vast majority of devotees will remember you for your exceptional artistic talent and your physical strength. These were obvious. Muss less obvious to many were your keen perceptiveness and acute intelligence. And your very soft big heart.

May you meet with Śrīla Prabhupāda in intimate surroundings, just him and you, as soon as possible. His Divine Grace will dispel all your remaining doubts, possibly without even speaking a word. That is my desire and my prayer for you.

Śrīla Prabhupāda did not let go of any of us – of that I am certain.

Regarding the circumstances:

From what I could find out, Ajātaśatru Prabhu (Jürgen Wilms) left this world this July 2017 in Santa Fe,
New Mexico, after a heart attack.
